Past – In 1986,
Duncan Publishing Group, LLC started out as a dream of a group of young individuals from Baton Rouge, LA. Originally named
WhiteStar Publishing, the original group produced quality games, periodicals and supplements for the Science Fiction and Fantasy industry. It was a challenging time for the publishing industry, as computer availability was limited and most of the projects were created from a typewriter and rub-on letters.
As the company grew, so did the vision of Keith Duncan, and an expansion into the commercial sector of marketing and publications. As a resource for many local companies for production of media materials, this expansion lead to the exploration of the Internet as a means of marketing for many of their clients. With the inclusion of web design and web hosting to its offerings, WhiteStar sought a new identity for its ever-growing options.
Internet Business Networks was born in the late 1990’s as a full service marketing company for local and national businesses. Offering professional web design, corporate identity, media and marketing plans, hosting and Internet solutions,
iBizNetworks moved into the computer age with the force of a hurricane. The opportunities presented by going global were immense and the company’s focus broadened with the knowledge and experience available on the web.
Another benefit of moving into the digital age was the access to quality services from many vendors in the print industry. This access allowed for
iBizNetworks exploring new venues of publications and experimenting in many different sectors of the industry. One of these sections was niche media or magazine publications. Being a great fan of the now-defunct “Web Hosting Magazine”, Mr. Duncan felt that the style and flair of that publication was not only what the public wanted, but what it needed in this white-shirt, bad tie industry of college age idealists and entrepreneurs.
Bringing together multiple years of print media experience, coupled with the knowledge of a relatively young hosting industry,
Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine was launched in the spring of 2003 and quickly became a phenomenal success. Did it fit the stereo-typical idea of a print magazine? No, but it quickly was recognized as the leader in the Industry for knowledge and information on the hosting industry. With it’s particular off-beat style, it is the most read magazine in its industry and the flagship of
Duncan Publishing Group.
Present – Duncan Publishing Group is the cooperative effort of ideas from a solid staff of individuals under the direction and leadership of Keith Duncan. Now offering a solid niche magazine for the hosting industry and launching a new Golf magazine dedicated to Louisiana,

Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine, a full web hosting and Internet resource magazine, covering not only the latest news and events but a variety of articles with information on being a success in the industry. Truly the most read and most popular magazine of its kind.
